Alyssa & Dan | NYC Engagement Session | NYC Wedding Photographer | Maryland Wedding Photographer

I keep finding these beautiful Maryland to NYC transplants and I click with all of them! Also, 2/3 of the Maryland/NYC brides I've worked with are named Alyssa, so that must mean something. Alyssa is from Maryland and they are getting married there, but she and Dan live in NYC, so that's where they wanted their engagement photos done!

Alyssa and Dan planned this shoot so perfectly and so personally to their history together. I met them at Culture Espresso, which is the last place Dan had coffee before he met Alyssa. They also happen to have AMAZING chocolate chip cookies!

We then visited 5th and Mad, which is where Alyssa & Dan met! The bartender was so sweet and let us use the whole back room of the bar, which is where the magic happened, to shoot. 

Alyssa and Dan live in Jersey City, so they chose the Battery Park waterfront for the majority of their photos, because it overlooks the Jersey City skyline. The sunset was just perfect. I could not have had a better time with Dan and Alyssa and I cannot wait until their wedding at my favorite wedding venue, Dulanys Overlook, in June!
